Found beside the village church, this single-storey cottage provides a convenient countryside retreat for couples. The medieval market town of Faversham can be reached in 4 miles; Whitstable, with its shingle beach, harbour, shops and characterful pubs is 5.5 miles; and the university city of Canterbury with its hallowed cathedral and upmarket restaurants is 7.5 miles away. Pay a visit to the beautiful Mount Ephraim Gardens (0.5 miles) for afternoon tea in the summer and picnic in the Blean Woods National Nature Reserve (4 miles), where you’ll encounter many bird species in their natural habitat.

Well-placed for exploring, the property is also perfect for evenings in; cook meals in the smart glossy kitchen and eat dinner together at the farmhouse-style table and chairs. Afterwards, pop the TV on and watch movies together snuggled on the cuddle chairs. This spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room leads into the king-size bedroom with a second TV, and there is also a contemporary shower room with WC.

While the property doesn’t have a private garden, it is adjacent to the village green, and there are plenty of opportunities to experience the Kent countryside close by.

A beautiful place to stay: well- and thoughtfully-equipped, spacious yet cosy, spotless, and with a very helpful owner. In a quiet rural location but within easy reach of the coast and many other interesting places to visit. Good local pub. A great, relaxing last-minute getaway

We found the Pump House at Hern Hill to be ideally located with plenty of space to park. The kitchen/diner was well stocked and had all the equipment needed. The King size bed was comfortable. Having a tv in the bedroom as well as the lounge was a bonus especially as Netflix was available with programmes we wanted to see. The clealiness isRead more first class. The Rose and Crown is just minutes from the property so is ideal for eating and drinking. The owners are also very helpful. Hide

Great location very close to local pub! Short drive to Whistable, Faversham and Canterbury. The cottage was well equipped, very clean and comfy. Excellent shower. Plenty of storage. Also very warm during a very cold spell. The owner who lives nearby was helpful and very accommodating.
